4/3/07 UT
Thick to patchy high clouds and excellent seeing (~0.75" in V). Boresighted LLT and checked image quality (<1.2" FWHM stars, ~1.6" FWHM LGS). Much debugging of laser and BTO. Major problems with the AO telemetry system. Laser 4-5W. Debugged acquisition procedures and achieved K Strehl=24% on a bright LGS target despite clouds. 4/3/07 UT Night Log (pdf)
Acq. camera NGS platescale: (0.163, 0.182) arcsec/pixel

Patchy to thick high clouds and excellent seeing (0.50-0.75" in V). Failed AO electronics in Cass cage discovered and fixed. Investigated TAO/telemetry software problems but no fix yet found. Optimized LGS-AO performance on bright tip-tilt stars. Laser 4-5 W. Achieved K Strehl 38%. 4/4/07 UT Night Log

Thick high clouds all night. Opened briefly for NGS-AO. Laser 6.3 W. Some in-dome engineering performed. 4/5/07 UT Night Log4/6/07 UT
Scattered to thick high clouds. Laser 4.5 W. Opened briefly on 2 occasions. Acquired 2 LGS-AO science targets successfully. 4/6/07 Night Log4/7/07 UT
Clear with some haze. Laser acousto-optic modulator master oscillator is broken, and no target clearance received from US-STRATCOM. Cancelled night for the laser at 23:00. 6/7/07 Night Log
