Participants (15):

  • Mickael R, Mat S, Joel J, Alice T, Bastien C, Benjamin R, Estelle R, Jeremy L, Kelian S, Leander L, Manu G, Maxime D, Melissa A, Nicolas R, Philippe R
  • Apologies: Kate M, Remy J
Notes:
Transients of the Week:
  • Only 16 new Ia's this week. The moon is up and telescope is also down for 3 days.
  • ZTF21acpmcgo: highly MW redenned Ia. There are ~80 of these. Join this project!
  • ZTF19acykjad: sibling, AGN or rebrightening?
    • This means we now have 17 confirmed Ia-pair siblings; 30 confirmed+photometric. Another 30 ZTF + archival events.
    • This is clearly a paper / analysis. They are highlighted in the fritz 'samehost' group.
  • We also have 3 low luminosity host events and one remote event.
  • ZTF21acpfndw - caught young.
  • ZTF21aarqkes: calibrator event
  • ZTF21aclhsxb: caught early: being followed by Adam
New Members:
  • Leander Lacroix: a PhD student working in Paris with Nicolas R + Ariel G.
    • Going to be implementing a Scene Modelling Photometry Pipeline for ZTF.
    • The plan is to adapt the SNLS pipeline. Hoping to have a first pass pipeline by the new year, with all of DR2 by March.
  • Kélian Sommer: a PhD student in Montpellier.
    • Planning to working on an analysis of the strength of the secondary-max of SNeIa and whether it can be used to improve standardisation for the DR2 sample
  • Alice Townsend: a PhD student working with Jakob Nordin in Berlin
    • Hopefully going to be working with AMPEL
HyperGal Update:
  • Jeremy has started the first production run of the new and improved SEDm pipeline.
    • 280 events have been run: only a small subset failed. Currently debugging to pull out the remaining events.
    • There are some really, and I mean really, promising results (e.g. ZTF20aalfyj, ZTF18acutfne)
    • The first spectra should be circulated next week. Let's look at them!
    • Also thinking about redshift determination: thats the next step smile
Simulations:
  • The plan is to have a meeting next Thursday to discuss who's doing what with simulations.
  • Let's check that we're all on the same page and using the same base files. Slack Mat if you want to join smile
Closing remarks:
  • Fill in the spreadsheet to volunteer.... Suhail next week
