ML

• Star/Galaxy separation (Adam Miller)
  • Will be run at IPAC and included in alerts
  • Currently mostly based on PANSTARRS (among others) but ZTF will be included later on
• Real/Bogus is being tested using Zooniverse: https://www.zooniverse.org/projects/rswcit/ztf-rb-project
  • Trying to get a good sample of SNe from that
  • Everybody is encouraged to contribute a bit of their time to clicking through some candidates (15 minutes a week would be great already)
  • Some candidates classified as real were ingested into GROWTH marshal but not many made it through the filters yet
  • By March it should be working

Survey Planning

• First couple of weeks will be given to asteroids
• Can this time also be used for commissioning? A: That should probably be engineering time.
• There will also be two weeks in August for the galactic plane survey, in which the high-cadence and i-band will stop.
• MSIP is fixed and will start in March.
• Partnership plan to be fixed by Jan 20th.
• i-band will come in February (Hooray!) and thus be available from survey start.

SEDm

• SEDm will be fitted with new micro-lensed array in March.
• Hopefully done within a day.
• Based on review of White Papers, all extragalactic proposals can be accomodated for.
• Since exposure length will potentially go down, we may be able to go deeper.

AMPEL

• There is a first version in the repository.
• More information/documentation will be distributed soon.

i-band Fields

• See link above for summary of the first field selection attempt
• Biggest problem currently is scheduling that many fields in summer when the Galaxy is up.
• Currently adjusting the E(B-V) cut for that time but those fields may be useless for cosmology.
• Maybe we can go to a three day cadence in summer. (Need to check with Eric.)
• We would also like to put a single epoch inside the summer gap due to the galactic plane survey.
