Attendees: Ashish, Adam, Michael C, Amruta, Andrew, Bryce, Christoffer, David S, Dima, Frank, Goumiri, Jan, Lynne, Michael S, Paula, Reed, Richard

Apologies: Matthew

Reed: Shutter issues. Fixed. Preventive maintainance needed.

Adam: updates on Zooniverse

Zwicky Chemical Factory: beta testing next week

Stellar Sleuths: Some say too difficult

Do it as a survey task? (hierarchical classification)

Launch soon

Christoffer: SEDM classifier

Normalized spectra are used. Not all data are validated.

Include known objects in the test set.

Only 1 misclassification out of 400.

Variability: paper to be sent back tomorrow

Looking at flaring stars (and EAs) - can look at false positives

g/r/i have been split as the datasets are large (csv files for 20 fields)

Color terms: tricky for variables

But we should have counterparts that can be used for most objects.

Feedback on Michelle Lochner's talk

Michael: using heatmaps with t-SNE

Bryce: use tails for streaks?

YSOs: we could look at the 20 fields. Lynne has a bigger training set

M Kuhn to give a talk on his recent paper
