Difference: SEDmWhitePaper ( vs. 1)

Dear ZTF partners,

You are all welcome to participate in a new white paper exercise. This time the objective is to optimize the usage of SEDm partnership time (65% allocation) during the first 6 months of ZTF operations, from January 1, through the end of June 2018.

In order to facilitate the reviewing process we would like to receive compiled and ranked proposals (when possible) from each Science Working Group.

We kindly ask you to upload your WP by Jan 1, 2018 to the to the ZTF Twiki: http://www.oir.caltech.edu/twiki_ptf/bin/view/ZTF/SEDMachineWhitePapers

During the time pertinent to this call, the performance of the IFU is expected to be as characterized in the recent paper, https://arxiv.org/abs/1710.02917. In particular, Table 4 (reproduced in the attachment) provides the SNR in three wavelength regions for 1 hour exposures as a function of target magnitude.

Each WP should provide a (max) 2 page description of the science, expected outcome and publication plan, along with the available monpower for the project. Furthermore, the SEDm triggering criteria should be clearly specified.
