Capturing most objects; missing faint objects and those in bright hosts

This machinery has been used to generate DESI target lists
Preprocessing to remove AGNs
Need to compare to simulations
Break the sample in to bins of apparent magnitude
Comparing the various subsamples will give us the selection functions.
The current problem is in force-photometry: uncertainties are under-estimated and there are outliers that need rejecting.
