Minute 2020-10-29

After update we will have Emille Ishida presenting for ~20 minutes on
'Active Anomaly Detection for time domain discoveries'.

We will then go on to usual updates.
(The 20-fields dataset is apparently almost ready).

Update: couple of network issues (HPWren and weather). So data delayed.

Reed: things back to normal last night.

Team meeting last week.

LSST TVS brokers meeting - most brokers use ZTF data

Emille Ishida's talk: Anomaly detection: SNAD (http://snad.space)

Using isolation forest, and adaptive learning, using Plasticc data

Fink: Based on science modules

Main agenda:

Variability: IQR and variability throw up objects that don't make sense.

Andrew: need to use color terms - not all sources have Pan-STARSS info.

Generate calibrated magnitudes

For ZTF II mandate that light curves should have calibrated bits. David Shupe to take the feedback back to IPAC.

Zooniverse: Adam to provide updates next week.

BTS: ; SN versus AGN versus CVs using full light curves done

Next steps: (a) Label cleaning for SN sub-classification (combining subtypes, for instance), (b) using partial light curves

SCOPE I paper:

Dima: we should not provide the confusion matrix suggested by the referee as it can be misleading. Ashish agrees.

Christoffer: SEDM classification draft almost ready. Can present next week.
