12 Nov 2020We will continue talking about variability. Also brain storm if there need to be any additional Zooniverse programs (perhaps 2-3 months down the line). If some of you watched Michele Lochner's presentation after the last meeting and have questions/comments, please bring them up. Matthew: Possible issue with the shutter. Being invesigated Jan: Looking at the variability data set. Though high cadence data excluded, we are catching variables. Also PnP for distribution of periodicity. Outbursting CVs. Fewer periodic objects at fainter mags. May be use forced photometry? Upper limits? Michael: A few jobs running for high cadence data. Zooniverse: think of new projects. Richard and Ashish to talk about modifications to Zwicky's Quirky Transients. Bryce: photometry of known alerts in Fritz. Dima to add Bryce to beta-testers. Christoffer: Decrease in number of spectra being classified correctly. Need longer exposures now due to the dirty mirror. Przemek: ran the microlensing model on archival light curves. Will present next week. Ran on Kowalski. Richard: finished latest campaign with Quirky Transients. Michael: Looked at Josh's paper. Using light curve and periods directly. (Jan: can get periods within 10%) Mattthew: ADASS talk, NSF proposals, ... Ashish: BTS simulations, and combining subclasses ongoing (Nicolas, Jakob, Rahul, Christoffer). Jan: plans to ingest DR4? Ashish to create a repo under ZTF ML so that different issues can be filed. -- ![]() Comments |
