The start-up position was arbitrarily set to 5000 (microns, 5mm) in the DEFAULT file. The calculated motion needed from zenith to north trolley limit (dec = +65.45) is -161.9 microns. The calculated motion needed from zenith to south legal limit (dec = -11.64 at transit) is +387.4 microns. The calculated motion needed from zenith to south trolley limit (dec = -31.43) is +748.8 microns. I've written out the equations, but have not put them in the bto code yet. Manual moves and offsets work fine, with the motor name "laser_focus". The math for the halfwave plate is in place in the control code. It can also be driven manually (with TCS tracking turned off), under the motor name "pol". Any suggestions for alternate motor names should be made in the next few days, to me or John Angione. Chris
