Introduction

The SED Machine (SEDM) is a rapid classification integral field spectrograph optimized for use with the Intermediate Palomar Transient Factory (iPTF) and Zwicky Transient Facility (ZTF).

Project Status

SEDM saw first light on the sky in XXX, and is undergoing commissioning optimization.

Partnership

The SEDM was design and built by Dr. Nick Konidaris. The current PI is Prof. Shri Kulkarni. Contributors to SEDM include Nadia Blagorodnova, Richard Dekany, Jennifer Milburn, Don Neill, and Richard Walters.
