The Gaussian shape will make it easier for Hartmann sensors to measure the wavefront since there are no abrupt steps in phase as in the case of a circular disk aberation like the 1st phantom. There are 5 layers (0, 3,6,9,12 km). Tomography was performed using 5 laser (90 km) guidestars in a dice pattern of radius 30 arcsec.
