Mechanical Metrology

All measurements were taken with a Faro Arm Platinum (S/N: TBD). The values below are the average of the total measurements taken. See excel worksheet for individual measurements.

  • Units = inches, degrees
  • Coordinate System = As defined in MMDN3404 section 2.1.1
  • N = Total number of measurements taken
  • X, Y, Z, Alpha, Beta, Gamma = Nominal coordinates taken from MMDN3404 which are based on the MOSFIRE CAD model
  • Alpha = the angle between the X axis and the surface normal
  • Beta = the angle between the Y axis and the surface normal
  • Gamma = the angle between the Z axis and the surface normal
  • d(coordinate) = (Nominal Value) - (Measured Value)

Optical Metrology

All measurements were taken with a Brunson 2022 Alignment Scope (S/N: TBD). The values below are the average of the total measurements taken. See excel worksheet for individual measurements.

  • Units = inches, degrees
  • Coordinate System = As defined in MMDN3404 section 2.2.1
  • N = Total number of measurements taken
  • Orientation = The orientation of the optical axis wrt to gravity
  • X = the relative distance between the scopes reticle and the cross-hair target in the X coordinate
  • Y = the relative distance between the scopes reticle and the cross-hair target in the Y coordinate
  • Z = the relative distance between the scopes reticle and the cross-hair target in the Z coordinate
